Creating an account
Registration is lighter than people expect.
What you need: an email address and a password. DMM sends a six-digit code to that address to confirm it. That completes registration. Signing up through a social account is also offered.
What you do not need: a date of birth, identity documents, or a Japanese address. The age check is the 18-or-over button at the entrance to the adult section — a self-declaration, not a verification.
The age gate
Every visitor, in Japan or not, passes an age confirmation screen before reaching adult content. Clicking through it is not the same as being allowed to buy: the store’s regional restriction is separate and comes after.
Before you register
Two things are worth settling first, because they determine whether registering is useful to you at all:
- Can you reach the store? See the region guide.
- Can you pay? See the payment guide. This is the harder question.
One account, one store
A DMM account covers the wider DMM group, not only the adult store. The account itself is not adult-specific; the adult section sits behind the age gate.
