Studios and labels
A studio produces; a label is a product line within it, and the label is what gives a product its code prefix. A studio may run a dozen labels. When people say “this is an S1 work,” they mean the label.
Everything below comes from each studio’s own official site. Where a studio describes itself in marketing terms, we have attributed the claim rather than repeating it as fact. Several of these companies publish no corporate information at all, so this is a reader’s guide, not a company directory.

Operating since 2003. Describes itself as the leading maker for works featuring married and mature women, which is the category it is known for in English-language searches too.
S1 NO.1 STYLE — s1s1s1.com
Since 2004. Describes its output as limited to top-tier performers. One of the largest presences in the English-language catalogue.
MOODYZ — moodyz.com
Since 2000. One of the longest-running and broadest studios.

Since 1997, the oldest on this list.

Using this to search
Studio names are useful as an orientation, less so as a search term — most people reach a specific work through its title, its performer, or its code. If you know the studio and want its catalogue, the store’s own filters will serve you better than a name search.
